Polish a children's illustrated travel manuscript
Project brief
An English-language editing project for a children's travel activity book about Turkey: around 1,800 words across 40 illustrated pages, aimed at ages 6-10. This is an edit, not a translation or a new manuscript.
Make the language comfortable to read aloud, remove awkward translated phrasing and check the activities, questions and back-cover text. Keep the educational meaning and character voices intact. The manuscript and page references will be confirmed before we agree the work. Please share relevant children's nonfiction editing experience.
Deliverables & acceptance
What you'll deliver
- A Word document with tracked edits, significant-change comments and a clean copy.
What the result must meet
- The full agreed manuscript, including activities and cover copy, is reviewed in consistent US English.
- Changes preserve meaning and age suitability; factual uncertainties are flagged rather than silently rewritten.
